From the rainforest to the beach
Joyce is based in Mandurah, Western Australia. Growing up in the rainforests of Far North Queensland, she loved to vanish into the worlds hidden within the trees. When she isn't writing, she enjoys drinking tea with a book to read, pottering in the garden, camping with her husband and their two children, or escaping with her camera to capture the beautiful landscape of Western Australia.
Where the words flow
My office is a small space, overflowing with books, and a lifelong collection of stuffed animals that my kids want to pinch off me. It's often shared with a grump tuxedo cat, or my beloved Persian crested tumbler pigeons who like to perch on the tops of my bookshelves so they can watch me work. I almost always have a mug of Daintree Tea at hand, and a jar of spearmint leaves for when I need to mull over a character going off script.
